We Love to Share!

One of the wonderful things at the Gathering is getting to share your latest creations. That "Beader's handshake": 'Ooohhhhh, did you make that?' To recreate this, we will offer two "Show & Tell" sessions in which you get to show your work and talk about it with a group of like minded glassy friends.

How Glass is Made

Glass is a ubiquitous material in modern life. It’s used in windows, tableware, containers, jewelry, and of course much more. In this presentation, you will have the opportunity to learn about the fundamental properties of glass, the basic forms of art glass and their uses, and how art glass is made at Bullseye Glass Company, in Portland, Oregon, USA!

The Artist Process:

This is where, we as artists, spend the majority of our time. What does the process say about: How we work. How we approach our work. How process influences our work. I want to explore the discoveries of our own rituals and patterns that make up our own work day. Does our own process spark inspiration? Are we giving ourselves enough credit about what all goes in to each piece or have we lost sight of our own unique pathways that make the products, and art we create, ours alone?
