Las Vegas Tour with the Mob Museum

Saturday, April 7

Canceled for 2018

South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa To destination and return via private bus

Depart for a Las Vegas City tour as we drive down the strip to Fremont Street to see the sights of Vegas. You will  hear all about Las Vegas hotels and insider Vegas stories. Las Vegas has approximately 150,000 hotel rooms and in  2016, over  6,310,616 convention delegates visited  during  the 21,864 conventions that were held in Vegas.

Your next stop is The Mob Museum which provides a world-class, interactive journey through true stories. From the birth of the Mob, to today's headlines with  shadows and whispers,  you'll   learn about  G-Men and Made Men.  Enjoy your guided tour through the museum to learn about the history and future of crime. It's fitting that the $42 million Mob Museum sits in the circa-1933 former federal courthouse and U.S. Post Office downtown; this is where the Kefauver  Committee  held  one  of  its historic hearings on organized crime in 1950. Today the museum pays homage to Las Vegas's criminal underbelly, explaining to visitors how the Mafia worked, who  was  involved,  how  the  law  brought  down  local  mobsters,  and  what happened to gangsters once they were caught and incarcerated. Museum highlights include bricks from the wall of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in 1929, and a mock-up of the electric chair that killed a number of mobsters (as well as spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg).
